December 2001

How quickly time goes by. It has been a very busy but a wonderful season.

Our Christmas banner this year. A play off of "I came, I saw, I conquered." Many of our
neighbors stop to have a look.

Welcome to our home!

Amanda needed curly hair for her part as a Boylan Sister in the musical
"Annie". So this is the result of almost 3 hours with a curling iron. It doesn't
last too long, as you can see from the opening night pictures below. What
happenned to all of those curls???

These are pictures from the Winter Concert for the High School music department. Amanda
sang in the Choir and Jeremiah played drums for the Jazz Band. (It's almost impossible to
get a decent picture of him drumming...so many things in front of him. As you can see,
Amanda now has a perm so we don't have the hours with the curling iron.
And speaking of new hairstyles...

Jeremiah went for a new style too. He's not sure...but he's trying it out for awhile.

Leah and her friend Bergit went together to the hair salon and had to take pictures
of how it looked right then. Bergit is pretty good at getting hers to look this way most
of the time. Leah can't quite seem to duplicate this look at home. Oh well...

The first night of Hanukah-our hanukah table. And then Christmas morning. OK - so you get
to see us as no one usually does...feel privileged.

Reading the Christmas story. Amanda's turn this year. Jeremiah with great morning hair.

Leah got a new scarf and a Raclette grill. (more about that below). Keith got a new hat and an
automatic returning putting practice thing with a carpet putting green.

Amanda wanted a punching bag and she got one. Her brother bought her some gloves.

Then Keith got to drill holes in the ceiling and mount it in her room.

We are having Raclette for our Christmas dinner.

Raclette is a grill where everyone has their own little pans and grill their own food. We think
it comes from Switzerland but it is very common here in Germany. Yummy!!!
